My friends and I love to host Mario Kart tournaments every couple of months. The biggest joy we get out of these tournaments is meeting new people and creating a community around our events. The problem we have is we can only get the word out about these tournaments to so many people. With social media and word of mouth, we have brought in a good number of people but we always love to see more and more new faces as well as create a more competitive environment. 

My solution to this problem is Kart Quest. Kart Quest is an app to make hosting and joining tournaments easier. The app allows tournament hosts to post details about their tournaments, online or in-person, so that people interested can see what events are happening. On the competitor’s side, it allows them to see when and where in-person tournaments will happen as well as when online tournaments will happen. 

More details can be shared on the app such as tournament format, age restrictions, game types, etc. The app will also have a profile system that will allow competitors and hosts to receive and give feedback, keep track of placements, and add friends!
